A Growing Church in a Growing Town

Letter from the Manse – Wait expectantly for God

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we have been waiting for a new season on the earth, for spring to give us hope of darkness and winter gone for another year, with the blossom beginning to emerge, flowers and the lambs, all give us a new feel to life, we too can also wait expectantly for God and have hope in him as the writer to the Lamentations says…. “and rejoice in God’s faithfulness, goodness and graciousness, God’s love for us….. and wait for a new season to emerge in our lives and in the church – Isaiah 43: God is about to do a new thing… desire it and pray for it; hope in God and that which is emerging this Lent.

Lamentations 3

Because His [tender] compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.
 The Lord is my portion and my inheritance,” says my soul;
“Therefore, I have hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.”
The Lord is good to those who wait [confidently] for Him,
To those who seek Him
It is good that one waits quietly
For the salvation of the Lord.

Finally, know and experience God’s presence and peace in this early new season that is springing up around us and the invitation to be with Jesus in the wilderness of Lent or the storms on the lake.
